middle earth role playing

have any of you tried MERP (middle earth role playing) its a rpg by iron crown enterprises (its now out of print but you can still buy the rulebook on amazon eBay etc.) I play it with my friends and its really good. its got a pretty realistic combat system, good traveling system and a lot of help for the game master, its also pretty true to tolkein (except the magic which can be easily changed by the gm) you can take a look at the rulebook on scribd (its not copyright anymore so thats not cheating)


any questions or comments appreciated.

I used to play it when it first came out but the combat system is so complicated and long-winded we gave up after a couple of campaigns.

Never played but I do own a couple supplements for it.
