A friendly reminder on posting rules.

Postby ukrocky » Thu Feb 09, 2012 3:05 am

Hey guys,

So just a quick and friendly reminder to NOT post rules of any models, nor any of the new rules such as upgrades explicitly. Hinting is fine, but asking for rules, points values and so on is NOT allowed.

If you see a post that infringes this, please flag it for us so that we as a website do not get told off by games workshop. If we have to keep editing the same person's post we will drop that person a reminder, and if that person continues then we may have to take further action.

Apologies for the strictness of this post but we don't want to get told off by Games Workshop, nor do we want to get fined.

I hope you guys can understand this post and thanks for your cooperation.

Your friendly website moderators.

Of course. Thanks for the reminder.

Ok. I will change my ways. After all, I finally mustered up $60 for the WOTR rulebook, so I don't need to sneak in rule questions anymore. ;)

Out of curiosity how much of the following is ok?

Saying my X00 pt army contains thus WITHOUT specific points costs?

Something like "taking shields on my orcs for an extra point etc" or "if you could drop 6 points from that list you could give 6 orcs shields/spears"?

Asking how a certain special rule is played that is confusing and has NOT been FAQ'd by GW IE Can I use will to resist Thranduil's Circlet of Kings and if so what do I need to roll?

Thanks

all of those seem ok
can't discuss army building without letting some points slip now and then

And any rules over which you have doubts can be discussed, at times we may even quote the rule to clarify the issue.
It's up to the rangers to make sure folks don't start quoting when it isn't necessary but it helps if folks take care too.

Not sure if this is the relavent place to post this, but with the competitions, can we post more than one entry per person?

Thanks :D
