Or plastic glue, which forms an incredibly strong bond, more likely to break at some other piece on the model than the actual bond. Thing is though if you glue it, it could be difficult to transport.

I agree that it should be fine with just plastic glue. Even if it is a slightly vunerable, I think its worth it for the versatility it gives when posing the model. :)

Also if you find it is still very unstable, you can just glue a few pennies to the bottom of it (or thin rocks if you can find any) to weigh it down. It should be just as stable as any other large model I would reckon (perhaps more so because it is less top heavy than metal versions)

It would just create so many possibilities for posing the fell beast. I'd love to have mine look as if he's swooping down on some kinghts of minas tirith. :)

Yes, last week I went into the GW store and they were assembling the beast.

The posing can achieve anything from a total nose dive to standing on its tale or a hard wheel left or right. If you use the armoured head/neck which is twisting to the side and pose the beast wheeling in the opposite direction you can make a very neat twisting post, it would make an awesome diorama involving an eagle ;)

The only downside is that the ball is not tight in the socket so you will have to glue it, which means choosing your pose when you assemble, and being subsequently stuck with it.

You can also drill through the top of the ball, place a long pin in, and drill slightly into the interior of the Fellbeast. This gives you a single pose of your choice which you can remove from the flying base for transport.

Or keep it loose and reposition it during the game to make the most of the 'in the way' rule... ;)
