Thanks, I was going to shorten the length of the two-handed axe - possibly change the axehead as well - add make a shield, or buy some from Gripping Beast - probably make some.

Good work! Really like the red colour scheme, makes me want to collect dwarves!
Forces of Good - Rivendell, Lothlorien, Grey Company, Dol Amroth, Numenor, Minas Tirith and Rohan
Forces of Evil - Moria, Easterlings, Isengard and Mordor

this makes me want to go paint all my dwarves i have lying in a dark drawer (thought they would like it there).

the cohesive color scheme really ties the army together.

Hahaha :P  those poor Dwarves - to be honest my Dwarves have banished my Goblins to a similar place :P

Thanks for the kind comments

Now I just have to decided what to paint for March, out of: 12 Khazad-Guard, 2 Vault Warden Teams, 12 Warriors with Shield, 18 Warriors with Bows,, 8 Rangers with Bows, Durin, Mardin, 2 Dwarf Kings
The two-handed axe-Dwarves(?) still need to be converted

Re: CGoM - Durin's Folk - March '12 - Proof

I've decided to go for Mardin (who I will also use as a Vault Warden Captain), 6 Khazad Guard and the 8 Dwarf Rangers with bows for my March entry, with 6 more Khazad Guard, 6 Dwarf Warriors with Bows and 2 Vault Warden teams later in the month

I lost the original proof picture, so I had to take this WIP one - only done the flesh on the rangers and Mardin, and metal on Khazad Guard and Mardin, with the red basecoated on the rangers and Mardin

Boom! They look really gritty and realistic, im impressed.

..If I ever put together a dwarf army (which I probably shall some day!) I might have to rip off your paint scheme.. :P

Here's part 2 of March - the question is whether I will finish them without getting distracted, my Warg Riders and Wild Wargs have arrived so the answer is probably no...

17 Dwarves - 6 Warriors with Bows, 4 Warriors with Two-handed weapons, 2 (Metal) Vault Warden Teams (shields not attached), and 3 Khazad guard
